I’m starting this on New Year’s Day at 11am…This time around I won’t show you about every photo I took this year like my last year review post , but instead show you only a few then actually explain them a little. Sounds boring but WUTEVA
Commencer~!
January
I was still at my home university during January. I just remember going to school, going to an endless amount of meetings, and skyping my friends and cousins. This was probably the most chill part of the year (maybe save summer). Also it snowed!
February
I finally got my Instax Mini 8 in blue! I had Valentine’s Day with myself because I love myself more than anyone else would. I also got lazy halfway through curling my hair and decided to take a photo LOL. #conceitedlvl50
March
March was my birth-month and also when my family and I took a roadtrip to Canada! I visited New York for the 2nd time as well as saw some other states for the first time. I also met my “umma” for the first time in 2 years!
- Spring Break 2013 pt.1: Lousiana
- Spring Break 2013 pt.2.1: New York – Buddy’s Bakery!
- Spring Break 2013 pt.2.2: New York – Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
- Spring Break 2013 pt.2.3: New York – Streets
- Spring Break 2013 pt.3: MIT
- Spring Break 2013 pt.4: Niagara Falls & Canada
- Spring Break 2013 pt.5: American Mall
- Spring Break 2013 pt.6: Nashville
April
April is when our Spring (bi-annual) Korean and Japanese festivals happen at my university! I’ve been a part of KCE (Korean Culture Exchange) ever since it started in 2011! This Spring semester I danced to “I Don’t Need A Man” by Miss A with my favorite girls! I always look forward to these festivals every semester!
May
May was when my appa graduated from uni! That was also the start of my summer vacation from school…that started again in about 2 weeks x_x (Accounting II.) Before I started my studies again I spent some time at my aunt’s house with my family. We swam during the day, ate constantly, then played video/board games at night. We also started playing D&D (Dungeons and Dragons), then sometime at the end of the month I finally finished my blinged out Moo-Cow! 😀
June
Unfortunately, during the month of June I was moving, studying/attending classes/working my butt off for an A, and getting my papers ready to study abroad in the Fall so there are no photos to share!
July
July is when I started playing LoL (League of Legends) [cilla44] after I passed my Accounting II course with an A! I also took a lot of trips to Houston for Visa papers and other things that I had to prepare for my study abroad in September!
August
I don’t have many photos for this month either because I was once again busy with study abroad matters! I also think that I was sort of stressed out a little…but my family held a “surprise” party for me at the end of the month to congratulate me on finally going to France! I also remember feeling weird because my friends were all in school while I was packing my luggage and chilling out as much as I could. ^^;
September
September is the month that I left for France! My immediate family took me to Galveston beach the day before I departed. This trip marks the first time that I rode an airplane! An international flight at that! It was 9 hours total to get to London where I made a lot of memories and saw the coolest places. After London, I arrived in Grenoble, France which was my home for about 4 months. I remember climbing La Bastille with my program friends and looking out over the beautiful city of Grenoble. To this day I still can’t pin-point chez moi…
October
October is where I did a ton of traveling! I went to Paris for 2 days to see my favorite band in the entire universe! That’s where I also met my cousin for the first time ever!! The next week I went to Milan, Italy with 3 other girls from my program, and saw the most beautiful church! The week after that I met my aunt for the first time ever too in Dijon, Burgundy! That’s also where I experienced real French clubs! I ended the month celebrating Halloween with my friends in some caves in Grenoble. We dressed up as death eaters and walked through the narrow passageways in an old cave that could have flooded any minute!
- HIM Concert! – Paris, France – Oct. 19, 2013
- First Trip to Paris!
- Bourgogne Excursion!
- Milano!
- Les Cuves de Sassenage
November
November was when I traveled to Barcelona, Spain with 2 other girls from my program! I got to get my feet wet in the Mediterranean Sea and drink Absinthe for the first time!! I also visited Paris for the second time (for 4 days) where I got to see Robin des Bois (Robin Hood) at the theatre! It was amazing! I love the soundtrack (available on Spotify)! It was sort of like my first broadway show. The last place I visited was the beautiful castle of Vizille.
December
December was the last month of my study abroad trip. I visited Lyon for the Festival of Lights with some friends and it was amazing (besides being pushed and grabbed on by old lost French ladies mdr!) I said goodbye to my classmates for the last time before our exams and had a long conversation with my professor in French about anything and everything. I also thanked madame for taking care of me and said my last “À bientôt!” The group also had a farewell dinner at a fondue restaurant where we exchanged gifts for secret santa. The person I got didn’t think that his secret santa would have gotten him anything he liked (because apparently he doesn’t like anything), but I gave him CD’s and he was really really content! I finally came back to H-Town on the 20th.

I didn’t realize how good my year was until I reviewed it. And I almost didn’t do this review this year :X I took a road trip to Canada and explored Europe all in one year! I got to see my favorite band in Paris, et aussi j’ai appris à mieux parler en français! Let’s hope that I will be able to experience life fully again in the next year!
