I visited Colorado with my family last weekend. My brother wanted to take a tour of a school there. It was honestly not one of my most interesting or exciting trips. I’ve lived right next to mountains when I lived in France and I’ve seen a lot of snow before. Also, Denver isn’t anything special. Sorry I guess.
I loved the mountains, foliage, and other facets of nature a lot! It’s so beautiful there ~ 😀
Anyways, I took some photos that may interest you! I didn’t do a “tenue du jour” because I was all about being warm and comfortable, and I also had to share a suitcase with my brother.
The first day we arrived in Colorado in the afternoon. We were tired and hungry, so we just ate at “Hard Rock Café” in Denver and rested at our hotel.
The next day however! We woke up quite early to explore the “Golden” and “Lakewood” areas by ourselves. We ended up driving up a mountain because nobody in my family besides me has ever gone up one. The view reminded me of Grenoble, hence the face I make in one of the photos below.
I’m not sure if my family knew this, but near the top of the mountain was a Buffalo Bill museum and memorial. So we walked through the museum, saw his grave, and had lunch at the little café there before we went on our tour of the school.
My mom & I had an argument about the name of our tribe. Growing up I always believed us to be Shoshone Indians. I remember my mom explaining that to me when I was in junior high. Now she says that we’re Sioux. I think that Shoshone makes more sense given the location of the tribes. I mean, Shoshones migrated to Texas whereas the Sioux’s stayed up North.
This ends part 1 of this weekend trip! The next part will be up soon!
Also, sorry for not blogging much. School is killer.
